A great
deal of the food that we distribute in a year
is donated food. We rely on the community to supply
nutritious groceries for our families in crisis.
Several large food drives are conducted each year:
The Letter Carrier’s Food Drive in May, the Scott
Health & Safety food drive in November, the
Thanksgiving Food Drives in the schools and the
Alvac Drive in December. Along with the steady
contributions of private individuals and so many
area churches, these drives provide the bulk of
our food, but our food needs continue to grow
as the number of families in crisis grows.
