Loaves and Fishes of Union County Inc. is a volunteer food pantry and 501(c)3 corporation that exists for the betterment of the quality of life of the citizens in our community by sharing resources and providing groceries & support to neighbors in crisis.

Thursday, April 29th - L&FUC Annual Meeting

The Directors of L&FUC are providing, at their own expense, a home made Spaghetti Dinner for the membership and a few special guests at this year's annual meeting.

Tuesday, May 4th - L&FUC Fundraiser

Mucci's Italian Restuarant in downtown Monroe will provide live entertainment for the diners who will be there having a great dinner with great service while also supporting Loaves and Fishes of Union County.

Owner, Mark Mucci will donate a percentage of profits made that evening to L&FUC. We hope to see all friends of L&FUC s dining there that night.

They take cash only but there is an ATM on premise and if you need to use it your server will deduct the fee from your bill.

Loaves and Fishes of Union County
is governed by a twelve member board of directors that represents a mix of area churches and civic organizations. Contributions are applied directly to its operation. There are no paid employees and more than 97.5% of income buys food and administrative expenditures are consistently kept under 2.5%. Loaves and Fishes of Union County served more than 4500 community residents in 2009 and is a vital arm of its partner social services agencies.

Unsweetened Juice, Canned Fruit, Jelly, Saltine Crackers, Applesauce, Rice& Grits

As much as we appreciate the thought, we cannot accept donations of home cooked food, home made jams, jellies, pickles or any home canned foods. Please do not give us outdated ordented cans, opened packages or put items packaged in glass in bags or large food drives.

No matter what other organization's may claim
donations to any Charlotte-Mecklinburg operations are seldom shared with Union County organizations and donations to their drives do not "stay local".

Loaves and Fishes of Union County is a stand alone operation and not affiliated with the Charlotte-Mecklinburg Loaves & Fishes and Union County people in need do not derive benefit from donations made to them.
If it is sent to Charlotte, it stays there.
