Loaves and Fishes of Union County Inc. is a volunteer food pantry and 501(c)3 corporation that exists for the betterment of the quality of life of the citizens in our community by sharing resources and providing groceries & support to neighbors in crisis.

The 2010 Postal Letter Carriers drive Mothers' Day weekend was the biggest ever.

L&FUC received
$1,280.00 worth of food from the Matthews Post Office.
$2,176.00 worth of food from the Monroe Post Office and
$21,862.00 worth of food from the Waxhaw Post Office





Owner, Mark Mucci will donate a percentage of profits made May 4th, 2010 to L&FUC.

Thursday, April 29th - L&FUC Annual Meeting


The Directors of L&FUC provided, at their own expense, a home-made Spaghetti Dinner for the membership and a few special guests for the 2010 annual meeting
held April 29th at the Victorian Crow's Nest in Monroe

 

 

 
 




Loaves and Fishes of Union County

is governed by a twelve member board of directors that represents a mix of area churches and civic groups.
Contributions are applied directly to its operation.
There are no paid employees & administrative expenditures are consistently kept under2.5%.
L&FUC raises funds in Union County
for Union County.

Loaves and Fishes of Union County served more than 4500 community residents in 2009 and is a vital arm of its partner social services agencies.

Current Needs

Unsweetened Juice, Canned Fruit, Jelly, Saltine Crackers, Applesauce, Rice & Grits

As much as we appreciate the thought, we cannot accept donations of home cooked food, home made jams, jellies, pickles or any home canned foods. Please do not give us outdated or dented cans, opened packages or put items packaged in glass in bags or large food drives.

ALERT

Proceeds from canned food drives in local grocery stores are given to Second Harvest in Charlotte, which is a fine organization but it does not share with us in Union County.
Donations to those drives do not "stay local".

Loaves and Fishes of Union County is a stand alone operation and not affiliated with the Charlotte-Mecklinburg Loaves & Fishes and Union County people in need do not derive benefit from donations made to them.
If it is sent to Charlotte, it stays there.
